Step by Step EBS R12.2.0 installation


Check OS Version



















Kernel Version









Update the package



















Additionally, the following rpms need to be installed from the Oracle Linux 7 or RHEL 7 distribution media on the application tier







Additionally, the following RPMs are required for the database tier













Note:

1: The openmotif package version must be 2.1.30 (for example, openmotif-2.3.3-1 is not supported).
2: Customers may need to upgrade to version binutils-2.27-28.base.el7_5.1 or higher due to the issue documented






Configure yum.repos.d









Install the EBS pre-install RPM



















Install the DB preinstall RPM













Disable Selinux










Swap Space






RAM Space




Check the Kernel Parameters




















Make the changes effective




















Check the limits configured























Verify DNS resolve parameters









/etc/hosts








The /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/network file should not exist on the system. 
If it exists,then you should remove it.







Unlink and Relink Library










Disable the Firewall










Check Mount Point













Create Directories





















Check Inventory






Place the software files





















Unzip the files and build stage area







Create Stage area














Choose OS

















Mention the stage directory location


















Exiting the Stage builder

















Execute the RapdiWiz utility

Uncheck MOS











Create a configuration file

Step by Step FMW Infrastruture installation and Deinstalltion - 12.2.1.3



Memory Requirement in KB






RAM and SWAP Space in MB








Check OS Bit







Check OS Kernel Version 





Check OS Version







/tmp should be greater than 1GB







To determine amount of shared memory available






Check File System space
Add entries in /etc/hosts (in our case hostname is node1.example.com













Install the rpm for installing DB










Update the packages







Disable firewall
Make selinux Permissive
Make the above changes permanent
Create directories
Unzip the DB software 
You no need to install DB for installing FMW infrastructure alone, incase if you are installing other middleware products like SOA, OAM, OIM in future means, we need to create RCA schemas,which will eventually need a DB to store.

Install the DB







































Install DB SW only



























Single Instance DB installation



























Choose EE



























Choose Oracle Home Location


























Group

















Run the script as root and finish the installation





















Set Bash Profile




















Launch DBCA and create DB



























Create DB with Default configuration

Check the status of DB


















To install FMW infrastructure, you need JDK to be installed first.










If you have lot of JDK’s installed in your system, choose the correct one















Download FMW infratructure and Run the Jar File
